Analysis of the storage and distribution of goods in the production facilities of Faber-Castell AG and Faber Castell Cosmetics as well as optimization of the internal flow of goods.
Situation
Although Faber-Castell AG and Faber Castell Cosmetics operate as separate entities, they share premises in a historic building that has limits to growth, and FCC's continued growth and uncertainty about the performance of the warehousing software in use led to challenges in logistics and warehouse management.
Our approach
We joined the project as objective consultants and carried out a comprehensive analysis of the warehouse and production processes.
Our measures included:
- On-site visits to the production facilities
- Interviews with warehouse and production employees
- Documentation of the optimization potential and questioning of the status quo
- Evaluation of the suitability of the software used
