Development and implementation of a nearshoring and offshoring strategy to improve the cost and availability of software development specialists.
Situation
The customer, a large energy supplier in Europe, is faced with the problem that IT resources in the DACH region are expensive and difficult to obtain. An initiative was therefore launched to outsource services abroad in order to reduce personnel costs and make skilled workers more readily available.
Our approach
We standardized the creation of SOW, RFI and RFP documents and developed transition guidelines for working with new providers.
In addition, existing processes were reviewed and simplifications identified. We supported the tendering process and accompanied the transition to new providers.
Results
- Creation of templates for SOWs, specifications and scorecards
- Development of ITSM guidelines as well as KPI and metric systems
- Introduction of SharePoint communication sites and apps to simplify data transfer and reporting
- Supporting the IT department with SOW creation and the tendering process
