BRIEF

The client sought to implement CentricSoftware as their Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. Faced with challenging timelines, the client required robust project management support to ensure a seamless integration.

SITUATION

The client, prominent name in the high-octane world of motorsport, recognized the need for an advanced PLM system to streamline their operations and enhance efficiency. They chose CentricSoftware for its comprehensive features tailored to the dynamic requirements of the industry. However, the integration process presented significant challenges, including tight deadlines, coordination across multiple teams, and the need for meticulous tracking of progress and issues.

OUR APPROACH

To address these challenges, we took a structured approach:

 

Definition of Sprints, Milestones, and Task Dependencies: We meticulously outlined sprints and milestones, establishing clear task dependencies to ensure a streamlined integration process. This planning phase was crucial for setting realistic timelines and expectations.

 

Regular Tracking and Reporting: Utilizing Jira, we monitored task completion, issues, and milestones. Regular updates were provided to the designated project sponsor, ensuring transparency and enabling swift issue resolution.

 

Central Point of Contact: Serving as the central hub, we coordinated between various teams, including Technical Development, Data Migration, User Training, System Testing, Support, and Documentation. Confluence was our primary tool for knowledge sharing and coordination, ensuring all stakeholders were aligned.

 

Guidelines and Training Materials: We established comprehensive guidelines, best practices, and training materials in Confluence. This facilitated a smooth transition and adoption of the new PLM system, empowering users with the necessary knowledge and skills.

 

Budget Monitoring: We closely monitored the project budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation. Expenses were meticulously justified against planned outcomes, preventing cost overruns and ensuring financial efficiency.

 

Comprehensive Briefing: A detailed briefing document was authored, outlining the PLM software's integration details, challenges faced, and solutions implemented. This served as a valuable reference for future projects and continuous improvement.
